As organisations around the world begin returning to the office for the first time in a year and a half, it is vital for businesses to make employees feel as safe and welcome as possible. With co-workers having not seen each other for the best part of 18 months, members of staff should be looking forward to interacting, in-person, with their colleagues.

As such, everyone should be happy at their place of work. Happiness at work is beneficial for employers and employees. For businesses, happy members of staff tend to be far more interactive, productive, and creative. They are unlikely to experience workplace fatigue and look forward to coming into the office. For individuals, when they are happier, they become more cheerful, healthier, and sociable, which leads to them becoming more successful in both their job and day-to-day lives.

Nevertheless, it’s important to maintain this happiness long-term. Employees shouldn’t just be happy at work for the next few weeks – this should be the norm. With this week being International Week of Happiness at Work, here are some of the answers that Quadient employees gave to the question of what happiness at work means to them.

Where is your happy place?

Here at Quadient, we wanted to see where our employees all considered their ‘happy place’. With a wide range of answers from the beach, to having lunch with colleagues at our offices, it looks like everyone has their very own place which makes their day.

What makes you happy at work?

At Quadient, we want to ensure everyone is as happy as they can be in their work environment, so we asked everyone what makes them happy at work. For us, we believe happier employees are more involved, more productive, more cooperative, more creative, and more innovative. When we polled our employees to see what made them happy at work, we were thrilled to see such a positive range of answers.
