The Joint Reprographics Service (JRS) is the shared service organisation which deals with form handling and document scanning solutions for the Research Councils. Research Councils UK sought to implement a mail scanning solution at the core of a new shared service centre to be used by the five Research Councils in Swindon. The shared service centre needed to handle millions of documents per year including invoices, funding applications and HR forms. The digitised documents then also needed to be integrated with multiple back end EDM systems including SharePoint, Objective and Oracle UCM.

West Midlands Ambulance Service: HR goes paperless to reduce costs and improve
Each day, West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) University NHS Foundation Trust responds to around 4,000 emergency 999 callouts. The Trust employs over 7,000 staff across 15 operational hubs, two control rooms and 12 non-emergency patient transport service sites. In 2018, the Human Resources (HR) department went paperless through an electronic archiving and document management solution from Quadient. The initiative improved efficiency, reduced costs and contributed to the Trust being selected as a Global Digital Exemplar by the NHS.
